3. Why and on what basis

We send occasional updates about the Korinoa project and its launch when you voluntarily request them. We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@korinoa.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

For general enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in handling and responding to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), subject to a prior assessment balancing that interest against your interests, rights and freedoms. Where a request requires steps at your request before entering into a contract, we rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for those steps.

4. How long data are kept

We retain data for updates until you withdraw your consent or 24 months after your last interaction with us about the updates, whichever comes first. We keep other requests only as long as necessary to handle the correspondence and meet applicable legal obligations.

5. Service providers and transfers

We use Google Workspace to receive and manage email requests. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, including when visitors are signed out. See GitHub Pages data collection.

For restricted transfers outside the European Economic Area, Google’s published Cloud Data Processing Addendum provides for a lawful alternative transfer mechanism where Google adopts one, or the applicable EU standard contractual clauses otherwise. In its General Privacy Statement, GitHub says it generally relies on EU standard contractual clauses for transfers to countries without an adequacy decision and describes its participation in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. These are the providers’ published arrangements. Korinoa has yet to confirm which mechanisms apply to its use of these services. You can contact us for information about applicable safeguards and how to obtain a copy.

6. Your rights

You may ask to access, rectify or erase your personal data, restrict processing, object where applicable, or request portability where applicable, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
